Ms. Buyright & Professor Hazbin toolkit:

Education is a critical piece of every solid waste district’s mission. This toolkit for K-8th grade students and focuses on the proper identification, use and disposal of common household items such as pesticides, fuels, paints and cleaners. Lessons for younger students stress the importance of staying away from potentially hazardous chemicals.  For older students, the lessons focus on following label instructions, using appropriate protective gear and the proper storage and disposal of leftovers. The toolkit uses informational handouts, worksheets, puzzles and activities to teach the lessons and includes teacher resources and answer keys.
